McGraw Hill paid us a goodly sum to write and illustrate Galileo's Secret. The hitch was that we had to create almost 25 paintings in only two weeks (and at that time we could only work weekends because we were working on other projects.) Our daughter, Kim, joined the art team. Most of the work, done in watercolor, was completed by Jean. Jim functioned principally as writer.

We also did another book for them right after this one called The Refrigerator Raider. Jean and I wrote the book, which was illustrated by David Austin Clar.
